Cindy Duch
Cindy
Cindy Duch is the Director of Parent Advising for the PEAL Center.  Cindy lives in Hampton Township with her husband, Jim and their sons Andrew and Alex.  Her career in advocacy began when her first son was diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum.  In addition to her work at the PEAL Center, Cindy serves as the chairperson for the Local Task Force for the Right to Education in Allegheny County, IU 3.  Cindy believes that, “the LTF is the greatest hidden resource for parents of children with disabilities in the public school system”.  Cindy also serves the disability community as the co-chairperson of the Western PA Coalition of Education Advocates, as a peer monitor assisting the PA Department of Education in monitoring the Special Education Departments of School Districts in PA, as a member of her local PTA as the Legislative Chairperson, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Autism Society of America-Greater Pittsburgh.  She has a BSBA in Economics from Robert Morris College.
